MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

skills and a personable disposition to keep us thriving. This position will play a key role in designing and developing our
electro-hydraulic actuators, and responsibilities will include producing detailed models, assemblies, and fabrication drawings for new
and existing products. You will be responsible for communicating with potential clients on their needs to provide high-quality

This is a hybrid position that will report directly to the Mechanical Design Manager and will be based out of our Holmes, PA facility.
Salary range for this position is $60,000-$75,000 plus potential bonuses, commensurate with experience. Trident offers medical

Responsibilities

 

● Create 3D-CAD models and bills of material in cooperation with members of the engineering team to design custom
electro-hydraulic actuators. 

● Perform necessary calculations to determine sizes, tolerances, stress, fit, and weight to prove adequacy of design. 

● Assist with preparation of submittals and operation & maintenance manuals. 

● Contribute to discussions on improving and advancing our technological capabilities. 

● Communicate with engineers and customers regarding specifications, submittals, and design requirements. 

● Assist in initial and final testing of actuators prior to shipment to customers. 

● Ensure customer satisfaction through professional and efficient service. 

● Embrace and apply Trident’s quality management system. 

● Work safely in accordance with company processes.


Qualifications 

● Extreme attention to detail and superior organizational skills. 

● Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team to resolve issues. 

● Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. 

● Availability to travel to customer sites when necessary. 

● Working knowledge of standard office software (Adobe Acrobat, word-processing, spreadsheets, etc.). 

● Experience with CAD software applications related to mechanical systems. 

● Comfortable reading and interpreting mechanical drawings. 

● Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Substantial work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. 

● Knowledge of fabrication, manufacturing, machining, and assembly techniques.


Preferred 

● Experience with SolidWorks. 

● Experience in a manufacturing environment. 

● Experience working with equipment design. 

● Desire to assist the assembly team during peak production periods.


Work Environment 

● Standard weekly job hours: 40 hours. 

● Office: Standard office equipment; work usually performed in an office setting free from any disagreeable elements. 

● When necessary, the position will include on-site work that will require following customer safety guidelines. 

● Safely function in an industrial setting where manufacturing conditions exist.

CONTROLS ENGINEER

personable disposition to keep us thriving. This position will play a key role in designing and developing systems that integrate

available technologies involving electro-hydraulic products, PLCs, and motion controllers. You will be responsible for communicating

with potential clients on their needs and designing the electrical components and controls schemes to provide high-quality solutions

Salary range for this position is $90,000-$110,000 plus bonuses, commensurate with experience. This is a hybrid position that will be

● Create control schemes and electrical schematics in cooperation with our design team.

● Design electrical industrial control panels which meet UL508A standards.

● Review specifications and provide comments.

● Work in partnership with the engineering team to design custom actuators.

● Contribute to discussions on improving and advancing our technological capabilities.

● Communicate with engineers and customers regarding specifications, submittals, and design requirements of our actuators.

● Responsible for electrical component selection.

● Provide technical assistance and responses to customers concerning electrical troubleshooting.

● Assist in initial and final testing of actuators prior to shipment to customers.

● Assist and collaborate with field technicians maintaining our equipment.

● Ensure customer satisfaction through professional and efficient service.

● Embrace and apply Trident’s quality management system.

● Work safely in accordance with company processes.

 

Qualifications

● Proficiency in creation of electrical schematics, controls schemes, and panel fabrication drawings.

● Experience with programming PLCs and HMIs, including Allen-Bradley and Schneider product lines.

● Ability to troubleshoot electrical equipment.

● Experience in a manufacturing environment.

● Minimum 3 years of experience working with industrial products.

● Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars, and conferences.

 

Preferred

● Prior experience working with hydraulic systems.
